Green Pasta Bowl

Super quick & easy healthy lunch or dinner. If you can & are able, buy organic vegetables to lower the amount of pesticides you’re ingesting. These amounts are rough guides, take some inspo & create your version!


Brown rice pasta ( I love the Doves Farm one) roughly 2 cups/2.5 cups. I use a medium size bowl. You can also get the bowl you’ll eat from & add dried pasta to that to roughly gauge the amount

Broccoli – about 4-5 small/medium florets

Spinach –  handful of

Chia seeds – 2 tsp

Make the pesto then set aside (we put ours in a kilner jar)

Start by boiling the broccoli  (needs about 10 mins until firm/tender) then after 5 minutes . . .

Boil the pasta for 5 minutes

Drain both & add back to warm pan mixing in the pesto to cover the pasta & broccoli

Add a handful of spinach into the pan & cover with a lid for about 2-3 mins for it to wilt

Remove lid & stir altogether adding more pesto if needed

Tip in your bowl

Sprinkle the chia seeds & add a little sea salt & pepper

Add some flat leaf parsley for some extra green detoxing goodness!
